We need one HV Electrician on day shift at a Bowen Basin coal mine, for one swing from Tuesday 20 October to Monday 26 October.
Casual, with opportunity for more work. Ready this week, you start on the 20th. Not ready this week, apply anyway, because there is more HV work behind this one.
What the job is
- High voltage electrical work on a maintenance team, day shift, for the full swing.
- Switching, isolation and testing to the site's own procedure, every time.
- Maintenance on switchgear, substations, trailing cables and reticulation.
- Fault finding and restoration on the mine's plant and equipment.
What gets you on the job this week
- A current Coal Board Medical.
- Standard 11.
- A current Queensland electrical licence.
- HV switching.
- Already holding a current induction for a Bowen Basin site is a plus.
The site induction runs on Tuesday morning at 6am.
If you hold all of the above today, you can be on that induction on the 20th.
Apply now and tell us what you hold. We will tell you whether it is this swing or the next one.
Not ready for this swing?
Apply anyway. A new person needs a site profile set up a week before their first induction, so if your tickets are not all current yet we line them up for the next job instead of this one. If you do not hold a Standard 11 or a Coal Board Medical, we arrange everything.
Who you would be working for
DAC Group. We have put trades on Australian coal since 2004, as a family owned business committed to putting the right people in the right positions, doing the job properly.
Our commitment to you
- We are here for you. On the phone, in person or on email.
- You do the work, we do the paperwork. Standard 11, coal board medical, inductions, portal registrations, renewals, timesheets and pay. We take care of the admin so you can do what you do best.
- You know the roster and the travel before you commit.
- Tell us where you want to end up and we work out the tickets to get you there.
Straight up
This one is short notice and it is one swing. Do it well and you are the first person we ring for the next one.
How to apply
Your name, mobile, email and four yes or no answers. It takes under a minute. A resume helps but you do not need one to apply. The coordinator who rosters the crews reads it, not a filter, and rings you either way.
Twenty-two years and counting
Better every swing.
