Now hiring across all trades
Ever thought about the mines?
DAC Group puts tradespeople and trades assistants on coal mines in Central Queensland. If you have never worked on one, here is how it works. Tell us about you and we will ring you.
How it works.
Same trade, bigger machines
Fitters, auto elecs, electricians and boilermakers do the same work on a mine, on haul trucks, dozers and diggers. No trade yet? Trades assistants and service people start with none.
Every second week is yours
Most of our rosters are swings like 7 on, 7 off. You work your swing, then you are home for a week.
You fly in
You do not have to move. We organise your flights to and from site. You know the site, the roster and the travel before you commit.
We sort the paperwork
Mines need a Standard 11 and a Coal Board Medical. If you do not hold them, we arrange everything.
Straight answers.
Do I need mine experience?
No. Your trade is what counts. Trades assistants need no trade at all.
Do I have to move to Queensland?
No. You fly in for your swing and fly home after it.
Who pays for the flights?
We book them. The cost comes out of your pay, and we tell you what it is before you start.
What does it pay?
It depends on the role and your experience. We tell you on the first call, before you decide anything.
What happens after I put my name down?
A person reads it and rings you. If there is nothing that fits right now, we keep your name on the list and ring you when there is.
Family owned since 2004. Every application is read by a person.
Better every swing.
